Wait: I meant to say “Nothing like a little Opera cake.” This was my Labor Day project. I won’t win points for presentation, but the taste was a double Yum!

I always wanted to try it, and I’m glad I gave myself a long weekend to do it. Layers of Jaconde covered with coffee syrup, between layers of chocolate ganache and coffee buttercream (French, of course). All this sandwiched between a layer of chocolate croustillant (I made myself) and chocolate glaze. So good!
