I became a huge fan of Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series over the summer, and Harrison recently announced in her Facebook group The Hollows is making its way to home screens. I can hardly wait! It’s also fun seeing the recommendations of The Hollows fans for actors to play the multiple characters.
If you haven’t heard The Hollows and you enjoy the Urban Fantasy with a strong female lead, I recommend you read the books before they show up on your home screen.
When I opened book one, Dead Witch Walking, I was unsure about Rachel, the central protagonist. I thought she was just another 20 something too full of herself for me to care about, but Harrison’s excellent writing, scene setting, and action building kept me reading. I’m so glad I did! Rachel grew throughout Dead Witch Walking and continues to grow as the series progresses. She’s more moony over being in love than I care for, Rachel’s sharp, smart, and a woman to be reckoned with, with just enough bad habits to make her lovable.
I can’t wait to read Million Dollar Demon, the next (final?) book in the series, when it comes out. If you prefer audio books, all but one is ready by Marguerite Gavin, and she does an excellent job. I listened to the entire series and liked it so much; I read them.
No telling when the video will debut, but I’ll be ready.

I haven’t heard of this series, LK, though I am a fantasy fan. Is there a lot of moony romance? I usually end up skimming the romance to get to the story. And that’s exciting that it’s coming to television. Thanks for the intro to Harrison and her work.
Not enough moony romance to bother me. Hope you enjoy it.
