Today’s entry is inspired by a character in Midnight Bites.
She hears the song, Hollowed in the evening breeze. She sees the leaping shadows dance In time with season’s dew. She walks the path with footsteps light Her fears awashed in moonlight’s gleam. Her mourning mingles with the dark Lamentations ride in lays of love Until the opera quiets When the chorus returns in full. She dances now upon the hill Where the old oak spreads her limbs. She twirls with those who sing the song. Her toes wet with dew. She walks her path unafraid, Her verse has just begun.
