Poetry Challenge

I answered the challenge from JJ-STACHE. I didn’t get 100 words or even one poem, but I’m pleased with these three snippets.

In my dream of tomorrow
Gives power to the hope
For those lost in a race to finish that isn’t there.

Obliged by the laws of men
Dreamers drift in oblivion
Their sex stricken from the quota.
As the race for hope dwindles in drifting tides of loss

Oh, for love
We dreamt.
We hoped.
It’s power burned our souls to dust
As we hid behind the power brokers and priests.
