Hi,
What crazy weather!
I’m not complaining. The weather in Austin is beautiful. It beats the 90+ that’s coming soon, but with fronts washing in and out almost daily, I’m turning into one giant sneeze and sniffle. It’s not slowing me down.
Home and Dragons Parts 2 and 3 are on schedule, despite an unexpected treat coming up.
I’ll be at the San Antonio Book Festival helping at the Writer’s League of Texas Table and signing books. The book festival in on 11 April. If you’re in San Antonio that day, stop by for a visit and get some new reads from me and a lot of other authors. I’ll be at the Writer’s League of Texas table from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
I promised to introduce you to the characters in Home and Dragons. Thus far, you’ve met Mark and Ginny. Today, meet Randall.
Don’t let his goofy grin fool you: Randall holds three PhDs. Maybe that’s his problem. He knows just about everything there is to know about plants and all the dirt and yuck they need to grow. He lives and breathes plants.

You can imagine how excited he was when he found his first magical plant. The problem was, he didn’t remember finding it at first. The plant will do that to you. Luckily, he has a Dragon, a Dragonfly, a Gnome, a Goblin, and wait! I’m getting ahead of myself. You’ll have to read Home and Dragons to find out more about Randall.
Peace, L.K. Latham
P.S. Randall discovers his first magical plant in Home and Dragons Part 2. (Coming soon!)
