Why does time seem to fly in December?
I’m in edit mode on Home and Dragons: Having a blast fixing/adding/removing all the little details. Today, I’m re-orienting furniture in the living room in one scene, and updating a Gnome’s family tree in the next. And on top of it all, I’m baking (Yes, I use the holiday to bake lots of treats) and gift wrapping and making travel plans.
Whew! What a month! And we’re not even halfway through.
Seeing the picture makes me think that it might be easier to get the editing done if I didn’t have so much clutter around me, but it sure makes the writing part easier.
And yes, that’s tea in my mug.

Som today, I’m taking time to clear off the desk of all those wee tasks that pile up when your single focus is on one project and only that project. Please don’t get me talking about my 2026 business plan. That creates even more clutter. I also want to do some decorating. I love putting up a glittery wreath and little trees with lots of sparkle.
In all the rush, I keep reminding myself of this slogan:
Don’t let the holiday gremlins get you down.
Peace,
L.K. Latham
Fight off the gremlins with a new read.
